English Guest blog: Wonderous Moments

So, let’s go!

Thank you for joining us for this wonderful „By Royal Appointment Guest Blog“ post. This is something we will be doing every Monday and each week we will be welcoming a different designer from our amazing team, the Royal Stampers. So this week our guest designer is the speedy Deb, who calls herself PDQ Cards. A huge thank you to herfor this project. If you would like to purchase any of the Stampin‘ Up! items used for this project, click on the product photos below. You will be taken to my Online Shop where you can find more information and order craft products 24/7. Enjoy the amazing creativity from the wonderful Deb and if you have any questions, please drop me a message.

Wonderous Moments

I’m not one for producing ornate cards. Simple is my middle name in card making it seems, but when I first saw the Perennial Essence Designer Series Papers I knew I had to try to do something special with them.

Wonderous Moments

These gorgeous papers remind me of the great French Impressionist artist Claude Monet – I can’t help but imagine a him sat amongst the beautiful gardens, capturing their delicate colours in paint. Unfortunately I’m not very good at painting, so thank goodness Stampin’ Up! have designed these wonderful papers for me to use!

Special occasions deserve a special card, and I knew I wanted to use ‘Wonderful Moments’ lady as soon as I saw the papers. In this card I have stamped her on the coordinating vellum card stock, before fussy cutting and highlighting using the blends. A frame was created using the stitched rectangular dies and scalloped lace created a cute little shawl.

The sentiment is from ‘Varied Vases’ and works well with many of the floral sets available  – Who says you must use the sentiment provided in the set!
